Position Overview:

 

Data Centre Presales Manager (Server & Storage) shall be technical partner to the sales team, responsible for designing, presenting, and validating complex IT infrastructure solutions for enterprise customers along with the winning price from various OEMs. They focus on transforming client requirements into actionable proposals involving server, storage, virtualization, and backup technologies.

  • Conduct thorough need assessments with potential clients to identify their overall datacenter challenges, application requirements, and data management goals. 
  • Develop customized solutions based on customer needs, including recommendations on servers, storage arrays, protocols (FC, iSCSI, NFS), data protection strategies, and capacity planning. 
  • Deliver compelling presentations to showcase server and storage capabilities, highlighting key features and benefits of the proposed solution to prospective clients. 
  • Design and execute POCs to demonstrate the functionality and performance of server and storage solutions, addressing customer concerns and validating the solution fit. 
  • Stay updated on competitor offerings, identifying strengths and weaknesses to effectively differentiate the company's server and storage solutions. 
  • Collaborate with the sales team to craft detailed proposals including technical specifications, pricing, and implementation timelines. 
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of various server and storage technologies like AI, HCI, SAN, NAS, DAS, object storage, cloud storage, data deduplication, and data compression. 
  • Provide technical support to the sales team during the sales cycle, answering questions, addressing customer concerns, and facilitating technical discussions. 
  • Lead the technical components of RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs, ensuring compliance and competitive advantage.
  • To build accurate BoMs, BoQs, and Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Establish strong relationships with key customer contacts to understand their needs and act as a trusted advisor. 

 

What you will bring to the team:

  • 15+Years of experience, Bachelor’s degree in IT/Business Administration or any other related field
  • Expertise in server and storage [protocols like Fiber Channel, iSCSI, NFS] 
  • Knowledge of data protection strategies (snapshots, replication, backup) 
  • Familiarity with major server and storage and backup vendors (Dell, HPE, Cisco, NetApp, Hitachi Vantara, Commvault, Veeam etc.) in terms of portal activities, targets, and certifications etc.
  • Experience with server and storage sizing tools and performance analysis 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities 
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with the sales team. 
  • Must have Certifications in Virtualization, Back Up Automation, Servers & Storage preferred
